Sustainable Process Integration Laboratory (SPIL)
SPIL Project
Established at the NETME Centre, Faculty of Mechanical Engineering at the Brno University of Technology
The project commenced on 1 February 2017, and has two stages, first fully funded from the SPIL grant (2017 – 2022) and the second funded by the follow up research grants won by the SPIL team (2022 – 2027)
Comprised of an international research team, supervised by Prof Jiří J Klemeš
The SPIL project has been co-drafted by Mgr Lenka Zemanová, MPA.
Funded by EC from the Operational Program Research, Development and Education by Czech Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport
The Basic Outputs
- Building a top-quality heterogeneous international research team
- Extending infrastructure in the area of instrumentation and building the Sustainable Process Integration Laboratory (SPIL)
- Forming long-term strategic partnerships with four prestigious foreign research universities
Description of Scientific Project
- Principal aim – to achieve unique and practically applicable knowledge that would contribute to increased efficiency of process and energy industry
- Focused on minimising the greenhouse gases, NOx, energy and water footprints searching for a complex solution in the area of energy savings.
